EMORY UNIVERSITY

Emory University is one of the premier clients of ISES Corporation, illustrating the diversity of our firm through the wide variety of services provided to Emory. ISES was first introduced to Emory through a small project in 1995 to document the needs of the Facilities Management Division in terms of Management Information System (MIS) needs.

From a small beginning, ISES has gone on to perform 24 varied, separate projects for Emory. These projects have included traditional FCA efforts, plus the following specialized services:

  • CMMS implementation services
  • Business process review of the Facilities Management Division
  • Utility billing process review
  • Preparation of as-built drawings in AutoCAD format
  • Utility master planning services (in support of a traditional facilities master plan effort)
  • Operation of the Campus Planning / Construction Management Division on a temporary, out-source basis (during a period of recruitment for new directors)
  • Detailed Elevator Condition Analysis (ECA) services
  • Classroom technology surveys
  • Survey of facilities equipment for compliance with Y2K standards and protocol (primarily dealing with embedded microprocessors in facilities equipment)

In the traditional FCA field, ISES has surveyed in excess of 150 facilities at Emory, with a combined total of approximately 6 million GSF, along with associated infrastructure studies and an FCA effort covering all food-service facilities scattered through multiple buildings across the main campus. As can be clearly seen through our services, ISES has repeatedly demonstrated its corporate versatility in support of Emory University. Future pending projects at Emory include updating previous FCA efforts, as well as conducting comprehensive life cycle modeling services for various buildings across the Emory Campus.
